About The Nice Guys Paint Co.

From Watsonville Roots to a Passion for Painting

Born and raised in Watsonville, California, Ismael Gallo has been around the painting industry since he was a teenager. What started as a way to learn a trade by working alongside his uncle and cousins eventually became something much more meaningful—a career and a craft that he truly grew to appreciate.

From those early days, Ismael began learning what it takes to be a good painter: hard work, patience, preparation, attention to detail, and pride in your work. Over time, he developed his own appreciation for the trade and discovered how rewarding it can be to take a space that needs a little love and transform it into something fresh, clean, and beautiful.

What began as a teenage job turned into a lifelong passion. He never left the painting industry.

Throughout his career, Ismael has continued to build his knowledge and experience within the paint industry. He spent 15 years working at a paint store mixing paint, gaining valuable hands-on knowledge about colors, products, finishes, and what it takes to get the right result for each project.

For Ismael, painting isn't just about putting paint on a wall. It's about the transformation. It's about seeing the difference that quality preparation, the right products, and attention to detail can make—and knowing that the customer is going to love the finished result.

That same passion is what led to the creation of The Nice Guys Paint Co.

Ismael believes that doing great work and treating people right should always go hand in hand. Being a “Nice Guy” means being honest, fair, respectful, dependable, and approachable. It means treating every customer's home or business as if it were his own.

Today, Ismael brings his years of experience, family roots, and passion for the painting trade to every project he takes on.
